IIMA PGPX Interview done

The IIMA PGPX interview is now done.

The interview seemed to be more of gauging the worthiness of the applicant vis-a-vis the information provided in the application form and essays. Also, situational response and ability to articulate views seemed to be another aspect being evaluated. The interview was a very cordial one.
The interview was done by a panel of two - both faculty of IIMA.

Questions were:

Was asked for certificates which I presented. They browsed through. All along the interview, the application was being flipped through.

1. After exchange of pleasantries, was given a topic to speak on. The topic was:
In spite of India being a 1billion strong country, why is it a weak force in sports?
2. You have written business plans. Can you describe your idea of a business plan if I want to start a sports training center.
3. You have done LDP last year in your organization. How did it go?
4. You are a senior professional, you are doing well, earning good money, so why are you wanting to do this when you can instead get the knowledge from books and simulation videos.
5. You have mentioned about Vedic education. What is this all about?
6. What do you gain out of this?
7. Anyway Vedas are a big bukum. Cited the Karmanyeva dhikarashthe….. sloka and said this means you don’t need to really care about the results, what is this teaching.
8. Ok. What Vedic philosophies have you practically used. Give at least 3 or 4 examples. We don’t want to listen to any discourse.
