Protection and Relaying - Generator protection

Generator protection settings are pretty straight forward and rule of thumb apply for the under voltage, Overvoltage, under frequency, Over frequency and Reverse Power settings.


However, while setting protection relays for generators that are in a large interconnected power system, it is imperative that settings are made very accurately so as to minimise disturbances to the system.
